Data Deletion Request

Important: This process will permanently delete your personal data from our systems. This action cannot be undone.

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you submit a data deletion request, we will remove the following information from our systems:

  • Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
  • Account credentials and login information
  • Project data, daily logs, and construction records
  • Client and crew member information you've entered
  • Equipment and inventory records
  • Invoice and billing history
  • Communication history and support tickets
  • Usage analytics and behavioral data
  • Marketing preferences and communication history

Data We May Retain

For legal and business purposes, we may retain certain information:

  • Transaction records required for tax and accounting purposes (7 years)
  • Legal compliance records as required by law
  • Aggregated, anonymized data for analytics (no personal identifiers)
  • Security logs for fraud prevention (90 days)
  • Backup systems data (automatically purged within 30 days)

How to Request Data Deletion

Option 1: Online Form

Send an email to our privacy team with the following information:

  • Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your full name and email address associated with the account
  • Phone number (if available)
  • Reason for the deletion request
  • Confirmation that you understand this action is permanent

Verification Process

To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletions, we will verify your identity before processing any request:

  1. We will send a verification email to the address associated with your account
  2. You must click the verification link within 48 hours
  3. For high-value accounts, we may require additional verification (phone call or documentation)
  4. Once verified, we will begin the deletion process within 5 business days

We permanently delete your data from our active systems

Important Considerations

Before You Delete

  • Export any data you want to keep (projects, reports, client information)
  • Cancel any active subscriptions to avoid future charges
  • Inform team members who may be affected by the account closure
  • Consider downgrading instead of deleting if you might return

Account Reactivation

Once your data is deleted:

  • You cannot recover your account or any associated data
  • You can create a new account with the same email address
  • Any new account will start fresh with no previous data
  • Previous subscription history will not be available

Third-Party Services

Please note that we cannot delete data from third-party services you may have connected to JobSight:

  • QuickBooks or other accounting software integrations
  • Email marketing platforms
  • Analytics services (Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal)

You will need to contact these services directly to request data deletion from their systems.
